Time & Location
About The Event
Click Read More to get full details. If you were or are in law enforcement/first responder, sworn in or non-sworn in position, this event is for you! Details with meeting location and time will be sent out with registration; please reach out for questions of if you do not receive the information at EPICBOD@epic4x4quest.com. We will have some pastries to offer for breakfast and BBQ on/at the end of trail for dinner. Make sure to bring water/drinks and food for lunch. Suggest to bring blanket or chairs to sit and jacket/layers as you never know what you will get with Colorado weather. We will take Mosquito Pass & if time and desire can add additional trail such as Weston Pass. While these are not trails ran for fall colors due to aspens Mosquito Pass is among the highest Colorado passes accessible to 4WD vehicles. The views from here are spectacular, especially in early autumn when the valley’s foliage begins to change color. The vibrant gold, amber, and green colors provide a stark contrast to the drab brown stone and paled grasses covering the high treeless ridges.
If you do NOT have to have a 4x4 vehicle to participate you can ride along with one of our volunteers. Off-road vehicle to have 4 wheel drive with low range, higher clearance, off-road tires, and ability to air down (we can assist with air down and up as needed). If you do not have an offroad vehicle don't worry, there will be seats available in volunteer's vehicles. Must agree to follow EPIC 4x4 Quest Rules (review on website https://www.epic4x4quest.com/epic-4x4-quest-rules) and sign waver prior to event.
(Honorary Temp Membership will be given from time registration)
COVID CONSENT: As with the transmission of any communicable disease like a cold or the flu, you may be exposed to COVID-19, also known as “Coronavirus,” at any time or any place. We will use universal precautions and “Social Distancing” as appropriate and recommended during the event. “Social Distancing” nationwide has reduced the transmission of the Coronavirus. While we will take measures to provide social distancing through our event, there could be instances where social distancing is not possible at all times. We recommend that you follow universal personal protection, such as good hand hygiene, maintaining adequate distance, and using face masks when mandated or when you feel appropriate. Masks will not be mandated to participate in the event, but they could be mandated in towns or locations we will travel. Please note that while we will not mandate masks, they are encouraged by the government.
Despite our careful attention to maintaining social distancing when possible, good hand hygiene and use of personal barriers when required (i.e. in towns, stores, during food services) there is still a chance that you could be exposed to an illness during our event, just as you might be at your gym, grocery store, or favorite restaurant.
